MASS MEDIA

Second Fiddle has decided that he is better off living in "where the honeybees fly to the well" or whatever the translation of his suburb into English is.
That's all very well (pun intended) but has he done his research I wonder?

In Toronto, hidden amongst the hundreds of channels of crap television there is 'The Daily Mass'.

This would be right up his street (or aisle) I think.

Oh bliss! I remember that there is a USA site where you can watch the mass too online.

I have never really understood the point of Canada, just a big extension of the states, only even colder and more inhospitable. But I have had my eyes opened to a little gem. If you really have nothing to watch on the many channels, go directly to YouTube. There, thanks to the CBC, are all the episodes of Corner Gas. I have just started Series 4. They are my refuge when I need a quality TV fix. Up to 18 episodes per season, and at least 7 seasons. Lovely understated comedy, no laugh tracks. I have a new respect for Canada!

Yes, I discovered Corner Gas and like it. It is gentle understated comedy (something that the Americans could never create (or not since Petticoat Junction and Green Acres days anyway)
