OK, WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?

Our Auckland townhouse is opposite a primary school and from the top floor I can see the teachers arrive to work in the morning (well, not all of them obviously - I only notice the attractive young women). The thing is that they start arriving from 7AM!. Now I know that the school day is 9AM to 3PM and that the students don't start turning up until 8.30 at the earliest, so what is going on here? A witches coven? Poker school?

I'd go with witches' coven.
By the way, don't forget the possessive apostrophe next time.
C- for post.

7o'clock?
Lazy young besoms.

I'm in at 6:30 to get all my preparation done.

See; Teachers are a dedicated lot. The naked coven dancing is just an added bonus.

Probably come straight from the gym and go straight to work to have time to do their hair, put on their makeup and have their breakfast. Some may even come to work to shower if there is one there.

I once worked with a woman who did this. We were public servants and on flexi-time. She would sign on as starting at 7pm then head to the ladies bathroom, have a shower, dry here hair apply her makeup and then saunter around to the canteen to make her breakfast before arriving at her desk some one hour later to comence her first task of the day - completing the Dominion crossword. I don't think she ever actually started any real work for the day until well after 10.30 am and morning tea break. What a doddle.

"I once worked with a woman who did this." Did she sign off as V.G.?

Nope it was'nt me. Her name was Mary actually, and a lot of people knew about her time keeping scam
but no one ever said anything to management. Employers were very laid back in those days and unions had clout (Being the late seventies and early eighties).
