A CHALLENGE TO ROBERT

Rob, reincarnated as Rob (don't ask) is back blogging after a short foray into the cesspit known as Facebook.

In his latest post (I'll copy and paste it for you as he will soon delete it)...

... you will see that he said:

"It's refreshing to see President Trump's common sense stance on transgenderism."

Odious.

I'd like to hear from Robert what his position is on Donald Trump's attack on Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde after she bravely challenged him in a sermon in the Presidential Inauguration church service.

Rachel Maddow from MSNBC spoke with Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington about speaking from the pulpit directly to Donald Trump about showing mercy for the vulnerable people targeted by his policies, and what has happened since, as well as the role of the church in moral leadership in the United States.

MSNBC - Mariann Budde

Budde's brave standing up for Christian principles and common decency has been under attack from Trump and his cronies. It beggars belief that these fools denounce her for speaking in the same way that their Jesus would have if he existed (either then or now). No doubt it has nothing to do with the fact that she is an Episcopalian bishop but everything to do with the fact that she is a woman and maybe a gay one at that.

Odious.

It beggars belief that anyone would know what Jesus would have said, especially heretics, and that anyone doubts that Jesus existed; " your in a distinct minority there sunshine" she said.

I'm not a heretic. I'm an atheist.
I think I'm in the majority.

Does Tent Horn use confusing grammar too when he writes?

So Robert, what is your opinion on the bishop and what she addressed to Trump?

Like life, often it's the seeking and wondering that is as much fun as the accomplishment. Of course this is the domain of men not women as men have the creative 'hunting and gathering' brain while women have the lesser 'nurturing' brain. It's for this reason that women should not be overtaxed with the responsibilities of being priests, let alone bishops. An honorary title of priestesses was long ago kindly granted to women but of course this is mainly a ceremonial role. That Episcopalian bishop was a bit rude in dressing down Mr Trump who only has our best interests at heart. Trent Horn agrees with me on this and, in fact, I obtained my opinion from him.
I hope that this answers your query and remember, I love you and Richard even if you are both heretics who practise atheism.

In the interests of full disclosure I have to admit that I 'helped' Robert with that comment. His response was slow in coming so I thought that a little nudge was required. I hope that it hasn't increased your blood pressure.

Hey, I want to apologize to Rob, and anyone who might have been misled by the above comment. It was actually me and I blame the expensive champagne I was indulging in at the time of writing. Sorry for acting like a heretic.

I don’t know this Peter but it’s as if he took the words right out of my mouth. There’s a place for him in my ministry if he wants it.

I think he'd be keen. Thanks Trent.
