We 'tried out' the ex snooker room and now other lounge last night.
With better access to the music system (Denon with Tannoy speakers) and with nice late afternoon sun coming in the bay windows it was very pleasant.
We finished the Veuve Cliquot and opened a bottle of The Prisoner Californian cabernet/zinfandel blend and had an impromptu session of 'playing favourites' music.
The Old Girl played tracks from Nirvana, Patti Smith, The Band, Alabama 3, The Beatles and others.
I played tracks from R.E.M, Steely Dan, The Rolling Stones, Santana, Family and others.
The surprise track from her was The B52s playing 'Love Shack! As this is one of only three tracks I'll ever dance to (the others being The Vapors' 'Turning Japanese' and Van Morrison's 'Brown Eyed Girl') I had to get up and dance with her. It would have been a strange sight for anyone who might have happened to wander into our backyard to see two oldies dancing about like loons. As it was, we only attracted the attention of a couple of cows in the farm paddock up back who wandered closer to the fence.
My surprise track (to her anyway) was Loverboy singing 'Turn Me Loose'. Marvellous!

please pass on my regards to Lynn congratulating her on choosing the best ever ...'band'.
You're getting confused there. Steely Dan was my choice.
I know. But Lynn chose "The Band". With Robbie Robertson, Levin Helm, Danko, the organ player. There is no equal. Your silly Steelo Dan should go back to cleaning pots.
Doesn't sound like Roberto Testore even knows the names of the members. 'Levin' Helm? The organ player? Is the drummer named Palmerston North?
With Rick Dannevirke on guitar.

Robert's christian-like tolerance extends to musical criticism as well as religion.
