So why don't we pull people up for SPEAKING bad English? Of course it would be incredibly rude and you would risk having no overseas friends. In the Filopines there are hundreds of dialects. It dates back to when there were hundreds of isolated village communities.
They tried to make a general language, it's called Tagalog. I started to learn it but my darling said she spoke with her family in a dialect that is basically Spanish! She doesn't speak Tagalog.
They all learn English at school. Ok she doesn't speak it perfectly but I know what she means.
