BUCK IT!

In the previous post I referenced Beckett - as in Samuel Beckett the Irish poet and playwright.

Unfortunately some of ... actually 100% of the readers failed to understand the reference and, having not been 3P-educated had never heard of Samuel Beckett.

I'd have been better off talking about a bucket.

“That is what I find so wonderful, that not a day goes by....hardly a day, without some addition to one's knowledge however trifling..." Samuel Beckett "Happy Days".

I've never read or seen 'Happy Days' but it sounds interesting. Hopefully one of the many Wellington theatres will perform it.

"Winnie, buried to her waist, follows her daily routine and prattles to her husband, Willie, who is largely hidden and taciturn. Her frequent refrain is "Oh this is a happy day." Later, in Act II, she is buried up to her neck, but continues to talk and remember happier days."

- From Wikipedia

That reminds me of Lynn "prattling" to me (she says I never listen but actually I can't hear her when she talks to me from another room) while I remain "hidden and taciturn".
