It's interesting that you wrote Bass Player with capitals. A hint of respect for the big violin intended? It's also interesting that you chose archery, where 'il arco' gets things moving, as it were. I wonder what brand of rosin you were thinking about. Yes, you are right, St Sebastian did play the bass. Unfortunately, he spent too much time praying and never got too be very good. Myth has it that it was another bass player who fired the arrow that added a fermata to his part.
