BETTY AND SECOND FIDDLE'S VIEWS ON ANCESTRY
Second Fiddle, in a recent post suggested that Jesus' ancestry emanated from an inestuous rape.
In here Mrs Betty Bowers (played by Deven Greene) suggests something similar in this funny monologue (one of several Mrs Betty Bowers videos that cover religious, cultural and political issues).

Well, Adam and Eve had two sons. I maybe should have said ho ho (promoting Mr Christmas). I mean, how was the line continued?
Too complicated.
Hello Curmudgeon. I am glad that you too identify "Gravity's Rainbow" as a favorite. I am going to trust you as you actually are the only other person I have encountered who claims to have finished the book. Right now however there are much more important matters looming in your country, namely that your NZ National Party! President is totally corrupt as is the phony Goodfella family from which he hails. Please help save the good people of NZ and pass it on as detailed in recent posts in www.waronnothing.blogspot.com. I challenge anyone to find any of the "charities" to which the family supposedly has given its "fortune" not just a pittance to some local school or church. The "charities" in fact are nothing but sham trusts which benefit no one but the Goodfellas themselves through fake trusts where they control and/or serve as "trustees" and at the same time as "beneficiaries". This is not a true trust, this is tax fraud.
Interesting new friend for you Nanook, even though I don't have a clue what he's talking about.
On my site people are deleting their own comments, so I guess it is one point to you.
Just in case you missed it:
I took two bars of Take The 'A' Train that I always stumble over (on violin) - actually it's one bar of swung quavers (G7) that resolve onto two more notes (C).
The G7 notes are:
A A# B E G Gb F Db
The C notes are:
C E
I lay in bed last night thinking about those notes. There are some things happening in that G7 bar that really fit with jazz conventions.
Firstly we have the first three notes of the Bebop scale - G Gb F
Secondly I think that the movement to the 6th (E) is significant - playing the 6th is often a good jazz choice.
Thirdly the chromatic movement from the 9th to the 3rd is a nice touch (A A# B).
Fourthly I noted the use of the b5 (Gb) to resolve onto C in the next bar. Very Bebop.
Fifthly the shape of the G7 bar (pitch wise) gives it a strong syncopated effect.
What a great bar this is!
How can one bar of a melody contain so many interesting things?
I wasn't talking in order, just taking each idea randomly. Stay awake Second.
I deleted a comment relating to your comment just as I did on your post.
So, what is your point Nanook?
