I walked to the New World Thorndon supermarket in Murphy Street this afternoon with my shopping buggy in tow.
It's only the next street over but I needed the buggy to carry home a 6 pack of beer and 6 bottles of wine.
On the way back I got caught up in an anti American imperialism in Latin America protest march. The US embassy is between Hobson Street and Murphy Street. The marchers were orderly and shouted out anti American sentiments which admittedly I agree with. A small police presence walked alongside them.
Near the US embassy I saw security (spy) cameras which would have recorded the marchers, using facial recognition software. I guess me, the old guy at the end of the procession was recorded too which will limit any future opportunity of entering those united? states of America. - not that I have any intention of ever doing so again.

When dealing with the USA, going unnoticed is a plus.
To explain the beer purchase -the Old Girl,s cousin and her husband called in this afternoon and she asked me to get some beers in.
The last time I bought beers was a couple of years ago when … you guessed it, the cousin and her husband were visiting us up north.
As usual he drank one bottle of beer ( out of the six) and the remainder may well stay in the fridge for the next two years.
So it goes.

Americans shouting out anti- American protests? Let them keep their Latin Mass I say.
A cliff hanger? You introduced the shopping trolly then didn't mention it again. ...maybe "..but as I clanked back home with the wine bottles rattling a wheel fell off and the bottles rolled out amongst the protesters. One protester picked one up and commented on my good taste in wine which started a long conversation and I invited her back home to sample it..."
I think you’re slipping into the realms of fantasy there Sparky. Might I refer you to a previous comment of Richard’s where he suggested some hand manipulation?
