AND GROWN MEN WEPT

.... all across the nation.

Yes, I'm sure there were suppressed sobs and chokes from young metrosexuals through to gnarly old farmers as the all Blacks stepped onto the field in Chicago.

This was a biggie. The All Blacks playing USA on American soil, the first time since 1913. Hopefully this will have the benefit of boosting the image of rugby in the USA and of once again highlighting New Zealand as being a force to be reckoned with.

I didn't agree with one of the commentators who said that he hoped the All Blacks wouldn't trounce the Eagles by too much as this might put Americans off the sport. I don't believe that the American are that wussy and would see it as being a challenge to invest in the game and get better.
The fact that the crowds didn't vacate the stadium before the end of the game and in fact gave a standing ovation at the end proves their interest.

Even though the 76-6 score was huge, USA showed great skills and commitment and it was a good game to watch.

Roll on 2015 and the next World Cup.

The All Blacks are something unique to this country. I always support them. When they lose I pretend not to be sad, but I am.
Go the ABs.
