HUNK OF JUNK

I knew it. I just knew it.

Against my instincts I went and bought a Black and Decker tree pruner. A battery operated one.
A lot of people including Richard advised that these things were very good and just as good as a chainsaw for lopping branches.

I knew it!

It's crap.

It hardly cuts and the chain keeps detaching.

I knew it!

I'm going back to see Mitre 10 tomorrow!

I've cut down a forest with mine and replaced the blade once. I think I need to teach you how to use it.

I've had an electric chain saw for 30 years and I dragged it out last Thursday and it still pruned her trees. The chains stretch when new; maybe it needs torsioning.

I reassembled it this afternoon and was able to cut some more branches until I got another wasp sting and had to stop.

I'm still not happy with it though and have made a complaint on the B&D website.

The saw wasn't responsible for the wasp sting. I suspect that the old girl is right. Get someone in who can operate the bloody thing properly.

Tetchy!

Well, it's a very good machine. Learn how to use it. Don't be a baby.

Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.

I complained about it on the Black and Decker website,
Today I got a phone call from a technician (in India I think) who talked me through the problem.
I've managed to cut some more branches and filled two trailer loads. I might keep it now.

I'm sounding like Robert and his bloody iPhone 6.
