DAZED AND CONFUSED

A little bird smacked into the bedroom window early this morning.

I opened the window and looked out. It was dazed - knocked itself out I think and lay on a ledge under the window for a long time.

Later I looked again and it had gone.

I wonder if it's now going about telling its pals that it had died and been resurrected?

Stranger things happen - like the two time zones in Wainuiomata.*

* Previously I thought there was only one - the 1960s.

6am is at the town memorial. The second one is at the Memorial Garden at the end of Hine Rd. It happens between 6.20am and 6.30am. Does that clear things up for you? The big one is at 11.15am. Three last posts for me.

Well I hope those Last Posts make more sense than your last post.

I've just been to the 2PM ANZAC service at the club.
They're all getting a bit shaky, particularly the wobbly bugler. I don't think it was the rum as they put that on after the service.

I dodged the Captain Morgan on offer and came home and had a glass of Bacardi Gold 10 year old (out of The Old Girl's private stash) It was delicious.
Rum on ANZAC Day is a bit of a tradition in our family.

P.S. I'm not 'dazed and confused' as I just had one small tot. I want to do some exercise this afternoon (rowing, biking and stepping) but will have a couple of glasses of Chardonnay (from a bottle with a label on it, probably Kim Crawford Small Parcels Hawkes Bay 2022).
