..THE FAT OF THE LAND

Beaudy!

I picked some vegetables this evening in preparation for the beef stir-fry I'm going to cook for dinner. That capsicum and the tomato look good.

To be honest I haven't had a lot of success with my vegetable garden this season and, in the interests of full disclosure should show you a pic of the pick to scale:

Bummer!

To be really honest I haven't had much success in any of the seasons over the last 15 years except for growing a gazillion chilli peppers - red ones, green ones, Scotch bonnets etc. Now these are beaudy.

The above are from 2 seasons ago and are just a small sample of what I have in the freezer. They freeze well and last for ages. I'm using a couple of red ones in the stir-fry tonight.

As we (hopefully) might be moving soon I'd better get cracking and convert them into chilli jam. I've successfully made this before, see: CHILLI and GIVE IT AWAY

I'm sad to see that Richard's bass Buggering Conspiracy or whatever they go by nowadays have boycotted me and the other worthy (very) members of the Curmudgeons Inc. and have chosen (more fool them) not to respond to this post. Sad. Sad Mistah! As no doubt you, Richard have heard before.
I''m sure that you and your little weeblies (term copyrighted) will contact me for advice concerning your pathetic indiscretions. Well, "good luck with that" I'll say, admittedly with a little bit of slurring from the effect of he 3 gins and tonics I may or may not have had. I'll try and keep an open mind

Do you leave the seeds in the chillies?
I've managed to grow some capsicum this year. I planted them in the compost from my compost bin and added a couple of cups of blood and bone and a sprinkling of lime. Both them and the tomatoes have grown at a steady rate and need frequent pruning so they don't overwhelm each other.

The Curmudgeon's Agony Aunt, would you like to have sex and travel - both at the same time?

Did you get the blood and bone from Sunday Mass?
