I was going to make a smart-assed comment about your ancestors, when I realised I didn't know your families origins. Not fair. However, I did some research on the origins of the surname (chosen at random of course) of PROWSE. It seems your ancestors were gifted and feared warriors. Actually if you go far enough back, everyone's ancestors wore skirts of some type or another, as trousers hadn't yet been developed.

Seriously though I've started this morning building my wife's family tree and she has direct ancestry to Jacky Lee who originally owned stewart Island it seems before the Government stole it!

It could have been a spelling mistake. I'd hazard a guess at "gifted worriers"
