"LOVE , LOVE , LOVE (All you need is ...)"

 ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

It's a great day up north today - warm and sunny.

We went for a reasonably long walk this morning, going up Mount Aubrey which is the small but interesting mountain up behind our place.

It has a clearly defined track with well maintained steps (lots of them) on the North side, whereas, on the other side going down it's more wild and steep. The unusual rock formations at the top are interesting. I love this mountain.

We had a bit of a laze after that until The Old Girl went in to her office (once my study) to do a few hours work. I decided to do the blokey thing and watch the two races of the Prada Cup final where Luna Rossa (Italy) is knocking the stuffing out of Ineos (UK). Good stuff.

The Old Girl took a break and opened a bottle of Champagne (Perrier Jouet Grande Brut) and I'm now on my second glass. Yummy. Champagne is definitely our favourite tipple. We're celebrating our anniversary today (33 years together) because last weekend when it is really the right date we had visitors staying so decided to wait a week for Valentine's Day weekend.

Robert would no doubt be pleased that we are celebrating a saint although, going by the above image he'd get all uppity because the saint looks to be gay.

He'd also be upset that The Old Girl and I are celebrating the fact of 33 years of UNMARRIED togetherness which, in catholicism is a definite no no.

Just for your interest though, the beginnings of Valentine's Day and the Saint(s) Valentine isn't all roses no matter what the florist industry would have us believe.

The ancient Romans may also be responsible for the name of our modern day of love. Emperor Claudius II executed two men — both named Valentine — on Feb. 14 of different years in the 3rd century A.D. Their martyrdom was honored by the Catholic Church with the celebration of St. Valentine's Day.

I hope that you've had a good day.

I hope that is just a saying.

You could also say "may the big green dodo help you with the gardening."
