" .....WITH TWO CATS IN THE YARD ...."*

 * Well, it was one cat actually.

Some friends are selling their house in St Mary's Bay in Auckland. It's a large and magnificent townhouse in a gated community.

They built it in the 1990s at a cost of about 600k and are disappointed at the current offer of about 2.3M!

I checked out our old Point Chevalier house which we sold in 2009. The Old girl used to refer to this as 'the bach'. Richard and Shelley will remember having visited us when we were living there.

Anyway, I checked it out on Homes.co.nz and it's valued at 2.87M. It looks like the only external change is converting the carport under the deck to a garage. Nothing inside would need doing as we renovated it.

Bugger me!

The world has gone mad.

Yes, I know but these silly 'Monopoly' prices being paid for real estate in our cities is creating a huge imbalance, more than in our days, between the haves and the have- nots.
It will also create big expectations in offspring who will wait for the 'olds' to shuffle off and leave them unearned and maybe undeserved wealth. The good old social equality New Zealand is becoming a thing of the past.

Yep. Totally agree. It's very hard for young people. Crazy stuff.

It sounds like you are confusing social welfare with Socialism. Even Trent Horn who wrote "Can Catholic's be Socialists?" admits Social Welfare is not the same as Socialism.

Well Trent can go fuck himself.

Said Robert.

Excuse me Robert - I did not mention or refer to 'Socialism' or 'Social Welfare'.
Your reading and comprehension skills are bloody awful which, kind of makes sense of why you ascribe to that catholicism nonsense.

I don't understand why you and catholic apologetic cunts like Trent Horn object to Socialism. What the fuck are they, and you, scared of? Christianity is supposed to be about good for all and equality. If any bloody religion should embrace Socialism it's christianity and, catholicism in particular given that catholicism embraces the lower, and under-educated classes.
