GIVE IT AWAY, GIVE IT AWAY, GIVE IT AWAY NOW

We finally got a break in the weather today. It's been cold, wet, windy and generally crappy since I got back from Christchurch last week. The Old Girl reports that the weather in Christchurch has been stunning. Go figure.

I mowed the lawn for the first time for a couple of months - it was getting a bit shaggy. It took two battery charges to get it done but it's looking better now.

After I did that I noticed that the chilli pepper plants have been as busy as the grass and weeds and are still producing. I will use a couple over the next few days, freeze some and give the rest to the neighbour.  Beauty! I'm not often successful in the garden and it's great seeing these doing so well especially as the little suckers are always so expensive in the supermarkets and can cost a couple of dollars each! Maybe I should try growing garlic which is another expensive item we use a lot of.

Just some of them. There are still more on the plants.

I'll add that nice big red one in the middle to the Kaimai Steak dish I'm planning for dinner (lamb mince sautéed with garlic, curry powder or paste, spring onion, chilli, then mixed with soy sauce, Worcester sauce, some herbs, chicken stock, noodles and rice. When nearly done peas, shredded cabbage, chopped carrot and any other interesting greens are added and allowed to simmer through).

Yummy - not unlike this dish image.

You say that like it’s important.

Well, you have two readers who comment and Robert is not leaving many comments these days. Get someone who was in 3P in 1964 to do the maths. You might need a copy of the 1964 Patrician.
