COMPENSATIONS
Getting up early this morning did have its compensations. On the way back from the airport I stopped off at the golf course and played 9 holes. As it was not yet 6.30 I was the first one on the course. This is neat because the dew on the greens show the track of the ball when you putt - there being no other marks or footprints. What there was though was duck prints. A family of ducks and ducklings were waddling over one of the greens. This was a great sight and it was really cute seeing the parent ducks web prints followed by about 8 little web prints.
It was a stunning morning, a bit overcast but there was an amazing pink dawn. The harbour was all pink from the sky and the dew on the greens and fairways twinkled pinkly. (Pink Paddler would have approved). The setting somehow enhanced my golf as I played my best 9 holes ever. I had finished well before 8 O'clock and drove home in the opposite direction of all those going to work. Not working also has its compensations.

Glad you enjoyed your time of quiet and solitary recreation.
According to Richard (of RBB) that is how you spend all your time. Well you and Mrs. Palm.
Have fun, and keeo the tissues handy.
Apropos of nothing I am reminded of Samuel Johnson's quotation re Scotsmen:
"Much may be made of a Scotsman, if he is caught young"
Red morning farmers warning.
Could you post a little earlier in future so I can leave the cycle at home and catch a bus.
Yes, Red Sky in Morning Shepherd's warning - it rained later in the morning and drizzled all day.
I do approve! It looks stunning. what a great start to the day!

Are you saying you tee'd off towards the club house? Hope you didn't break any windows.
