It's hard to believe now but this blog was once preeminent in the blogging community featuring regular witty posts on a diverse range of subjects (not just about double basses fortunately). Over time it developed with related blogs from Richard's alter-egos most of whom were unusual if not downright crazed. A couple did post weekly and had some interesting things to say. Sadly these have now faded into oblivion.

The Bass Bag itself has tried to re-invent itself as seen by images used:

The unintended consequence is of Richard's wife reacting negatively to the bass bombardment as his daughter did in her teens.

A more recent graphic which sadly shows the bassist with now no audience, not even unwilling ones

This most recent image is quite elegant but is very telling in that a Gretsch guitar is featured WITH NO DOUBLE BASS TO BE SEEN

Could things get worse?

Well, yes they can.

In The Wine Guy's latest post HERE Richard, in the comment section says this:

"AT LAST I'VE READ SOMETHING LESS INTERESTING THAN MY DOUBLE BASS POSTS."

 Sad!
