A SUCCINCT POST TO KEEP YOU GOING

I may have mentioned before, that in this small blogging community, The Curmudgeons Incⓒ is supreme amongst the other blogs in terms of frequency and quality. No doubt soon, Blogger will publish new statistics showing this. We will keep you posted (a little blogging pun there).

This of course doesn't stop some of the lesser blogs 'having a go' and making disparaging remarks about this supremacy. See HERE

This of course is fair when it relates to bob's blog which is a mish mash of inferior excerpts from The Catechism and Google translated Latin phrases but when related to The Curmudgeons Incⓒ  it just comes across as peevish.

Is it me or are your posts getting shorter?

I have a handy little tip for you...
At the end of your post tell everyone what you are having for dinner and then mention what other posts you are about to visit.

I hope that helps you fill the screen.
No need for thanks.

Peevish is an interesting word. I thought it meant indecisive but google says "angry".
As it has more than one syllable I'm sure Richard will complain about you using big words.

No, I've just signed up for Robert's English Grammar class. With luck eye can be safed.

Peevish means that something is pissing you off.

From the web:

How do you use peevish in a sentence?

1. The clingy toddler became peevish every time his mother walked out of the room.
2. Because John is peevish and never satisfied with anything, he finds it hard to make friends.
3."Our maid quit because she said I had a peevish attitude and did not appreciate her hard work".
4. Richard was peevish because The Curmudgeon's blogs and posts were better than his own ones.

Richard (of RBB) said...

Richard (of RBB) was peevish because only example number 3 used quotation marks.

THE CURMUDGEON said...

Number three has quotation marks because it is the only one that is a quote of someone speaking.

Clearly this commenter doesn't understand the meaning of 'succinct'.
