FINDING TIME

"Cela pourrait fermer le vieil imbécile"

Richard (of RBB) had the temerity to criticise my previous post by suggesting that it was a filler.

Maybe he's looking to fill in time by wanting to read longer treatises (he's certainly not filling in any time by writing any posts of his own).

I suggest that he tracks down and reads Marcel Proust's  'A la recherche du temps Perdu' which is reputed to be the longest novel ever written. That might shut the old bugger up.

Here's a synopsis:

IN SEARCH OF LOST TIME

***************

Talking of filling in time I've already been productive this morning having done a couple of hours weeding and filling up the trailer. We have  a lot of agapanthus on our property that grow like mad and need to be severely cut back. The Old Girl is planning to poison them to totally eliminate them which I feel is a bit extreme as they do provide some greenery and have nice purple flowers.

The weed that I particularly hate is the convolvulus which will take over everything if let away. It also has a nice flower - a blue one in our case but is very insidious and must be eradicated.

I pull these out whenever I see them but they also need to be poisoned. This is done by taking the tendrils and putting them in containers of weedkiller. The poison soaks up the shoots back to the 'mother' kind of like the creature in the film Alien.

******************

After the gardening we went for a long dip in the bay. With no wind the sea was like a mill pond and it's a bright sunny day. This was marvelous and refreshing after the hard work in the garden.

After lunch we might go to Ocean Beach or for a drive somewhere.

We certainly won't be reading 'A la recherche du temps Perdu'

OK. After you've done that you can go searching for lost time.

Agapanthus can not be poisoned. I've tried. Dig them out or learn to admire their lovely flower.

I watched the video.
Prowse's also make a fundamental mistake in that true happiness is not from art but from adoration of Jesus.
