IS BOXING DAY OUT FOR THE COUNT?

We didn't bother going in to town for any Boxing Day sales. There are too many sales nowadays. I bought what I needed (home security camera system and some garden tools) in the Black Friday sales in November which seem to have become a 'thing'. Bloody Americans!
I bought a couple of pairs of SKETCHERS shoes in a 50% off sale before Christmas (how stupid is that?). I think Boxing Day is finished. It used to generate so much excitement when I was a kid. Believe it or not it was the only day of the year when shops had sales. Fire sales were exactly that - a sale where fire-damaged goods were sold cheap. They used to smell of smoke and would have smoke and water damage. It was another time.

BUY NOW- 40% OFF!

The weather has come right up here - nice and sunny with no wind. This morning I played 9 holes of golf early before going to tennis. I then had a swim. All this before lunch-time.

How's your day going?

Good thanks. Christmas Day has passed and one of the two 'this is about me' people have gone home. Fortunately Uncle Don is spending another night with us. A blessing. I thank Zeus for this blessing.

Well, Robert always warned you about your Atheistic 'beliefs'.

We had a nice day and will have dinner soon.
Guess what?
Leftover spinach and Fetta pie and fruit flan.
Yes, we ate exactly half of each last night for Christmas dinner and will have the other half of each tonight. I'm looking forward to it.
We've just played a couple of games of pool and will play another game after dinner.
G&T for her and a glass of Champagne for me (Moet & Chandon single serve bottle).

Moet & Chandon? The favourite wine in Nuova Lazio used to be Chardon. It was affectionately known as 'hard on'.

I refer you to the rules regarding comments that can be interpreted broadly.

As there was no religious intent I think his comment could be allowed; except it was silly which raises another question being, are non silly religious comments allowed?
We must examine further.
Who affectionately referred to Moet and Chandon as "hard on"?
Is there actual proof that Moet and Chandon is the favourite wine in Wainuiomata?

I said Chardon not Chandon. I hope the guys who translated the bible were paying more attention.
