LAZY SUNDAY - SMALL FACES

Aroo dee doo dee doo, aroo dee doo dee die day
Aroo dee doo dee dum, aroo dee doo dee doo dee

Yep it's Sunday -  "I've got no mind to worry".
I've been lazing around all day - not quite "close(ing) my eyes and drift(ing) away but "no one can stop me from feelin' this way".

We've had a day 'of two halves' today. This morning we had a winter storm. The temperature dropped after the skies clouded over and it bucketed down with rain. I had planned to drive into town  to go to some hardware stores but decided against that. We live in the country about a half hour from town and the roads are a bit dangerous at the best of times. I do drive like a sensible person in the wet but there's always likely to be a silly bastard coming the other way who doesn't moderate their driving with the weather and road conditions. I decided to stay indoors and have a lazy Sunday. No driving. No church service. No shopping. The only upsetting thing was being admonished by Robert for saying that he had willed his brother Richard to Hell. He denied it (but he has said it) and challenged me to prove what he'd said with copies of his posts. Well, since this raver deletes all his posts and the comments on a regular basis all that history is gone. Ego sum reus.

In the mid afternoon the rain stopped, the clouds disappeared and the sun came out. A lovely Sunday afternoon appeared. Lovely. "Here we all are sittin' in a rainbow".

As a nod to Robert - dinner tonight is pasta Siciliana (orange and kumara sauce) with a glass or two of (labelled) chardonnay.

Are you finished?

Maybe that should have had an exclamation mark instead of a question mark since it was a rhetorical question.

'Hoisted by your own petard' is a saying that comes to mind.
