There are new rumblings of getting rid of the monarchy as head of state as seen in the Royal Visit in the Caribbean last year and recent Australian announcements. Our own new Prime Minister has been quoted as saying, prior to his trip to the UK to visit old Chuck "there are no plans to form a republic in New Zealand". To anyone who understands politi-speak this means "yes, we've had enough. It's time for them to go - in fact it's 'FAREWELL TO THE MONARCHY""
I watched this on YouTube tonight. It's Frankie Boyle (Scottish comedian) at his most irreverent and cynical best.
It's not for the faint hearted and definitely don't watch it if you are a confirmed monarchist but, if you are open-minded and have a sense of humour this is a brilliantly crafted dig at the Royal Family or, as Boyle describes them, "Britain's most boring crime syndicate".

FRANKIE BOYLE'S FAREWELL TO THE MONARCHY
This is a great watch and has some wonderful acerbic asides in it like this one on Prince Andrew:
'You'd think that Prince Andrew would apologise for his behaviour (having non-consensual sex with a minor). I apologise even after having consensual sex."
- Frankie Boyle.
