Living by the water there's often a bit of drama especially in bad weather.
We've had strong winds today and things have been blowing around a bit.*
About an hour ago a large yacht that is normally moored in the bay has ran aground at the end of our road by the jetty.
The owners put an S.O.S. on Neighbourly for assistance - hoping that someone with a large boat could help pull them off the small reef there. This is hard volcanic rock so no doubt has or is doing some pretty bad damage to the hull. They said that the yacht lost power (motor power) and the wind drove them inshore.
I hope that they get it off safely.
* No chairs have blown over on the deck fortunately but then, I've removed them because they are a bit decepid.
