 The Old Girl is off for another 'adventure' this year. She's going to do a 3 month stint in Christchurch from May through July working out of the Christchurch office.

She will be housesitting a colleague's house there while they are overseas so accommodation is sorted.

I've booked flights to Christchurch each of those months for a week. This will give me a good chance to revisit and explore the city and at weekends we'll take trips to interesting South Island destinations. It'll be fun.

We lived in Christchurch in the mid to late 1990s and really enjoyed the experience. It is, or was before the earthquake a beautiful place.

We like  train trips so will be booking a trip on the TransAlpine which goes through the alps to Greymouth and there is a wine tour train trip to Waipara on the Weka Railway that I'm keen on.

 You have to make of life what you will so it's worth grabbing hold of these adventures when the opportunity arises.
