BREAKING NEWS

The drain-layer has turned up with his digger and a team of guys to do the drainage work at the rear of the house.

I'm not sure how long the job will take but hopefully will be completed by the end of the day tomorrow.

Just think of the 'before and after' photos and the update I'll be able to provide for your reading pleasure.

You don't get this sort of stuff on those other blogs.

Hope you have not employed a shark.

No, they're good. We've discovered a couple of problems though - some old clay drainage pipes where we need to put the new French drain pipes in. I told them that as long as they aren't sewer pipes ((they aren't) then remove them. Second problem - right where the lower chess pit (plastic stormwater capture sump) needs to go - hole dug - there's the connector for the grey water sewer line. Bastard. We'll have to dig around this I guess. It'll be a 2 day job after all.

Well spotted Second and a good pun.
His name is Mark and the company name is Mako hence the shark logo.

Yeah, cigarettes do that - quickly.

The job is half way through - problems sorted.
Lots of images to come.
This blogging community is abuzz at the prospect and hasn't been so excited since the deck furniture series.
