You may have noticed on reading Richard's Bas Bag blog that ..... Richard has a blog named Richard's Bass Bag (don't ask) on which he writes the occasional post on ,well, bass bags, violins and teaching. These are not exactly riveting ..... in fact, posts about riveting might be a hell of a lot more interesting,
but he anxiously waits for compliments about his posts in the form of comments. When these don't come he writes his own comments under various aliases complimenting the writer on a post well done. It's the sort of circular logic thing that Robert employs when trying to convince anyone about the legitimacy of Catholicism on his blog Robert the apathetic sinner and toilet cleaner (don't ask about that one either) except Robert wouldn't ask for compliments - he'd ask for complements not knowing that there is nothing in existence that could emphasise the quality of his blog posts.
Today, when shopping at the local superette (small supermarket - a Four Square) I was once again complimented on the carrier bag I was using.
For those who've been living under a rock, Bette Middler is a singer and performer who appeals to older women and gay guys.
Fortunately today the compliment came from a woman, admittedly an older woman who was manning the counter. Normally, at the larger supermarkets in town the compliments come from young gay guys.
It occurred to me that Richard The Needy, if he can't get complimentary comments on his blog posts could go fishing with a bag like this. He could either get compliments or get lucky.
