ONE OWNER - A LITTLE OLD LADY AND ONLY USED ON SUNDAYS

How hard is it to buy a car?

I mean, there are plenty of them out there and, inflation adjusted, they are cheaper than they have ever been in the history of motoring in New Zealand.

The options for finding a purchasing place is also greater than ever before with car sales yards, auction sites,  side of the road selling, Facebook, Trade Me and many other websites providing endless choices.

This should have made it easy for the old guys in this blogging community to get a move on and buy one but, sadly, no. Robert and Richard had to take days out of important blogging time to each buy a bloody car. I mean ......

Here's some screenshots of their results:

OK, at least Richard put a photograph of his purchase.

So, what's been exciting these old jokers about old Japanese ladies' cars? I thought I'd look on-line for a comparison.

That's all very well but that article was probably sponsored by second hand car dealers but it looks like the old guys did the right thing by buying a granny car.

I bought the Vitz on Trade Me. I saw it early on in my search. I'd already turned down a Suzuki Swift because I could tell that it hadn't been serviced regularly, but that's another story. It turns out the guy selling the Vitz lived just down the road from me and he was a car nut - reminded me of my dad. He was a really nice guy and I could tell he was very honest. Shelley's very happy with the car, mainly because she likes the colour. I took the car for a long drive today and it runs very well.

That's good. Well done.

I like the comment about the colour. Lynn is the same.

Not blue - I mean that she thinks the same way about cars.

I worked that out before you explained it. Thanks anyway for the effort.

No problem.
