Seeing that it's a cold Saturday, the Sunday quiz has been brought forward for you to be able to do something seemly indoors.
The Polemical Curmudgeon has stepped up today to set some posers.
Ha ha TPC, I see what you did there with that polemic and also the reference to Ivor Cutler's 'Common Sense' poem. Well done.

Right, let's go.
1. Abortion is legal in New Zealand because:
- It is the right of every woman to have control over her own body.
- We live in a godless society.
- New Zealand hasn't the strength of will to follow the example of the Maltese people.
2. The drinking age in New Zealand should be lowered:
- Because it might get young people off vaping, huffing, nanging and smoking 'P'.
- There has been a decline in alcohol consumption and the drinks industry needs a boost.
- The churches need to recruit brain damaged younger people because attendance rates have been falling.
3. Christopher Luxon would make a good prime minister because:
- He has a lot of rich influential buddies and will look after them with tax breaks.
- He is uncluttered with the baggage of political experience (and brains and common sense).
- He looks cool with his shaven egghead.
4. School uniforms should be mandatory because:
- Pedophiles get a thrill at seeing little girls in short skirts and long stockings.
- Marist brothers need access via little boys' short pants to their interesting bits.
- Designer clothing is becoming too expensive.
5. Foreign flags should be banned from display in New Zealand because:
- It encourages feeble minded people to use them as backdrops (e.g. the American flag and the Confederate flag) when making outrageous and untrue statements.
- They look too good and show up our own crappy flag for what it is (or isn't).
- They are becoming too expensive to buy.
You have until close of play, or pray (see what I did there) on Sunday evening to get your answers in. Have fun and don't argue with your neighbours.

This quiz was so easy. Am I a genius?
Am I going to win?
I certainly hope so.
Look, thanks for your enthusiasm and, (spoiler alert) you've missed by a mile.
Here are your results:
1. WRONG
2. CORRECT
3. WRONG
4. WRONG
5. WRONG
In fairness to the other entrants and to me, who after all has to provide the prizes, the correct answers will not be given until after the deadline (post prayers Sunday).
Robert still has to provide his input but, given your poor performance I'm not holding out much hope of any success there.
Never mind "mustn't grumble".
I'm pretty shaken by that result.
Bloody Robert, the leading blogger, will face this test.
Face = ace.
I'm getting everything wrong these days!
When the judging panel can figure out what you are saying it will make a ruling.
In the meantime, take your meds, have a cup of tea and a lie down. Don’t overexcite yourself - this of course means you shouldn’t snuggle up too close to the statue of the Virgin Mary at Mass this morning.
I demand another go!

At least your submission was readable, unlike Robert's.
It's probably an allegory of both of your blog posting.

Not long to go now with this quiz.
It looks like we’ll have no winners this time.
There are no consolation winners in polemics, sorry.
If you’re quick - go for it. I assume that you’ve finished praying for the day.
