Post Corona-19 pandemic the world will be very different.
We will obviously have the short term effects of unemployment, financial market uncertainty, trade disruptions and supply chain shifts to deal with but longer term there are likely to be some society-changing ground swells.
Geo-politics well certainly be different over the next decade. Trump has already damaged USA's international standing and ability to be the 'world's policeman' but after the pandemic there is unlikely to be any East-West balance with, instead, emerging powers from all over going about their own agendas. Thinking of that maybe it's not a lot different from post Spanish Flu days of the 1920s where the nation states tried to sort them selves out after WW1. I'm thinking on my feet here so, with that analogy I'm pushed towards thinking more of the situation prior to WW1 where various nation states had a higher sense of their own power and autonomy - mostly over-inflated. We may get into this situation while the big boys lick their wounds.
My main theory though, and the reason for this post is that world-wide people will be rethinking religion and their previous views and beliefs.
Cancellation of worship services, closure of schools and religious teaching organisations and suspension of religious festivals and events including pilgrimages - if it goes on long enough, will make people wonder what all the fuss was about before. They won't have been struck down by not taking the Eucharist, journeying to Mecca or giving alms to Buddha - in fact nothing would have happened except they discovered that they had more spare time to spend with family and friends - not to mention having a bit of extra cash in pocket.
During the period of the pandemic (as yet unknown) offshoots of churches and religions will have provided medical supplies, air purifying respirators, face shields, gloves, ventilators, food and shelter to not only their congregations but to affected areas in general. This is the true function of churches and my belief is that people will become more aware of this and will ultimately reject the mumbo-jumbo that had been forced upon them.

Wow! That post ended abruptly!
I had to go out and do some gardening.
I've just about knocked down the scrappy trees on the fence-line now. The trailer is full.
The problem is that now I can't buy anything from garden centres because they are closed in the lockdown ....... hey ..... there's a post in the making.
Bloody god could have stopped this!
OK, get to it god boy. Ask the fucker why he's doing this and can he stop it immediately.
Put that faith of yours to the test.
