NEW YEAR'S DAY 2022

Hello all including all of the new readers this year"

The first day of the year has started off really well. We have a cracker of a day here - in fact, it's really too hot to go outside which means I can put off the chainsawing of the deck timber for a bit.

The heat didn't stop our guests going out for one of the long walks around the bays. They are doing the Urquart Bay to Smuggler's Bay walk which is really scenic but they will be tired and dehydrated by the time that they get back.

View of Smuggler's Bay from the walking track.

Contrary to what Richard has said in one of his posts, we haven't chained up the guests in the kitchen, making then cook, clean and renovate. I'm in fact going to cook that spinach and goat's cheese tart again for tea and The Old Girl will be making custard and steamed fruit pudding so there.

I wonder what the other bloggers are doing?

Richard, no doubt will be fighting with his in-laws (or at least with Uncle Bob) asserting his alpha male dominance.

Robert will probably have been in a river trying to molest trout and ignoring warnings of the dangers of tidal surge from the helpful 'gentlemen' on the bank.

I guess we'll just have to wait to hear later today whether they survived the day.

* It pays to start off on a positive note.

"They will be tired and dehydrated by the time that they get back."
A christian would have said "brothers your walk will be long and dehydrating, take these water bottles that your journey will be more the enjoyable and you will be refreshed".

They are big enough to look after themselves!
Actually I offered the two thermos-type water bottles them but they had water bottles in the fridge which they took. It's a long walk though and I stand by what I said -"They will be tired and dehydrated by the time that they get back."

Why do you always have to bring bloody christianity into everything?
Oh, that's right because you're a nutty christian.

Jesus the Christ came down from part of the trinity to establish a Kingdom. Jesus is the Christ and king. His Kingdom will last forever superseding all earthly kingdoms. Us "nutty" Christians look to joining Him in His kingdom that will last forever.Of course there have to be a few rules. All kingdoms have these as a condition to entry.

Thanks for that.
It's always good getting justification for an opinion.
You've just confirmed to me that you, and christians who believe that nonsense are fucking nuts.

It's impossible to fuck a nut.

Robert says a lot of things that rile me but that Christ's kingdom thing really angers me.
It is so stupid that I can scarcely believe that a mature, intelligent and educated person could believe this and say it with a straight face. He's not kidding, that's the problem yet he functions in society, supports a family, drives a car on the road and - influences others. That's scary.
