The Logiclight keyboard lamp I ordered on-line arrived today.
This does the job well of illuminating the keyboard of the lap top or the desktop computer whichever I'm using. This can be in the day or at night. The small LED lamp plugs in to the computer and uses the battery or the power in that. It saves having to set up a standing lamp or use too much overhead lighting.
I knew that you'd like to hear about this at the earliest given that Robert is busy as Sue is in hospital and won't be posting a lot. Richard has man-flu and you know how bad that can be:

Interesting configuration.
You would expect that computer developers would have realized that people like their screens at differing heights and angles. I use an old flight simulator DVD to angle my screen up. In your case the 'Rustic cottage with swans' jigsaw does the trick.
Only babies and very old men need lights on...
